Roxio CinePlayer has no sound

col0320

Question

I cannot play any audio on video's that I load into CinePlayer. It does not matter what the extention is (Mp4, avi, mpg etc) It just does not play the sound. If I load the mp4 versions into Itunes there is no problem and the sound is just fine (that will blow any theories that my mute button is on). The audio in the tools settings are set to the correct device so I am stumped as to what the problem is.

Can anyone assist please?

What are your system specs?

Have you installed Creator 2009 SP4?http://www.roxio.com/REGISTRATION/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fregistration%2fmyaccount%2fDownloads.aspx%3fdownload_id%3d166&download_id=166

Have you updated your MS Directx drivers?

You could also try this: Go into settings after Cineplayer is launched, then audio and set Audio Processing to Dolby Surround Compatible Down-Mixing

Otherwise: Device=speakers,Speakers=2 speakers,Audio Processing=stereo

The volume level inside Cineplayer is set to 100?

Thanks for the help Dave but that still did not work. The only thing that I am not sure about regarding your advice is around your note about update MS Directx drivers. I have the latest Directx 9 driver. Is that the right one?

Thanks for your continued support.
