I have read the post from cdanteek and have notice something missing from the shots provided. Under the sound and video devices i have the following:

- Audio Codecs

- Legacy Audio Drivers

- Legacy Video Capture Devices

- Media Control Devices

- Quickcam for Dell Notebook Mic

- Roxia Video Capture USM

- Sigmatel HD Auto codec

- USB Audio Drivers

_ Video Codecs

I do not see the USB 2861 Device. The program of V2D i am using is Easy VHs to DVD for Windows Vista and XP.

In Xp I have most of those too....Depends on what is loaded on your pc..

Is your USB 2861 Device pluged into a USB 2.0 port on the PC, preferably a rear USB 2.0 port?

Did you install it correctly?

cd

Ok..after all that I got the capture button to works. After re-installing the software I ran the cursor over the "Capture Button" and it lit up and i tested it and it was doing great..Video, Sound, Preview all working, but then i notice i did not change the drive i wanted to go...it was set on my internal Drive C. Im using an external HD. Drive E. So i stopped the testing and change to the external Drive E. And guess what...the "Capture button" is greyed out or not working. Hopefully there is something something simple that I am not doing. The external drive is a 1.5TB Seagate FreeAgent/Dest Exteranl HD.

It is Simple & Ugly but not your fault!

V2D as well as Creator 2009 will not capture to a 1.5 TB or larger partition drive

Partition the drive to smaller partitions or capture to your Local HDD and move the files later.

Its’ a Bug but since it is merely an annoyance I really don’t expect to see it fixed.

Look through cdanteek’s pinned post at the top and match the pictures with your system. Pay close attention to the Driver shots!

There are actually 2 different capture programs in V2D – which one are you using?

Describe in detail, step by step what you are doing.

Just wanted to give an update on my issue.. There is none. All has been fix. The problem was the large 1.5 TB external HD that i am using. I've since partition it in 2 parts. And now is working great. Now to start copying all my VHS home movies to DVD. Thank you for all your help. The below link made it easy to partition my hard drive. Be patient. it takes awhile to format the new partition. Good Luck.
