Brendon Posted June 28, 2009 Report Share Posted June 28, 2009 The 1606 error is usually found when you're installing something with the Windows Installer, and it comes in the form of Error 1606: Could not access network location <with the location, path, or file mentioned here> So please tell us what was the application you were trying to install, and what is the full error text ? sknis Posted June 30, 2009 Report Share Posted June 30, 2009 Are you installing junk off the Internet again? That is the Updater that is used by Roxio and others. Thanks Steve....nope I have downloaded and installed the Software Manager: The latest FLEXnet Connect 6.1 Software Manager It downloads ok but then I keep getting the above messages..
