Okay, i have been working with emc 8.0 for a while, upgraded to the 8.05 patch, now when i use videowave and try to trim about 30 seconds and 14 frames off the beginning, the audio is so far off the video afterwards that it is like the old godzilla movies of my youth.
I am using ati, external video card usb 2.0, using their pc check (feature in catalyst [ver.5.11] of launchpad), it has the capture rate listed at 30fps, now inside another menu-- under its video capture settings i have 29.97fps set as the record rate, the resulting files display as 29.97fps; now i don't know if i should direct this to ati or roxio, because i have also adjusted the videowave8 output settings to those frame rates accordingly and still got the same problem.
I have also tried to use the capture from ati directly (settings are dvd high MPEG2 720x480 constant bit rate of 10mbs) and the roxio made capture files from the ati capture(mpeg2 720x480 8mbs). When i first got 7.5 retail i had the same thing about 3 successful uses of the software and then trouble, i got about 5 from 8.0 retail, and then 1 from 8.05 patch.
While troubleshooting this problem, i came across roxio7.0 on my computer, in my registry, i have never had this version, and i honestly don't know if was there before the patch. I have tried to re-install several times, and now each time roxio7.0 files appear in the registry after i install the 8.0retail. Is it supposed to be there?
Let me know if there is any more information i need to provide.
