Dear online experts,

 

Is there a way, even a convoluted way, to draw on, or mark up videos with your mourse in Creator 2009 ? For example, I would like to add a narrative to a video and draw attention to the part of the video that I'm talking about. Say, draw an circle around someone's head, or draw an arrow to bring attention to what is being referenced or highlighted.

If you are expecting the drawing to be animated, there is no easy way. But if all you need is a way to highlight something, a simple PNG with transparency will do the trick. You could use a circle or arrow created in PhotoSuite, save as PNG and place that on the overlay track as described above.

Just grabbing a stock overlay in VW and making some adjustments… Let’s say the lady crossing the street is my subject of interest:

 

 

Then making some adjustment in transparency and size, it starts looking more useful

 

 

Now if you create your own???
