Roxio creator two thousand 09 special edition

Maybe someone can help me. I tried to install software on Vista premium home OS 64 bit. Got almost to the end and got an error message #1607 "unable to install Install Shield Scripting Runtime". Song were downloaded, desktop icon appeared and then the cd just hummed & didn't progress. I cancelled the installation, did program removal from Control panel and tried it once again. this time I got a message emc11 and then it rolled back. any ideas? this is my first time to ask for help., Holiday weekend and no one at Roxio to give advise.

Jim: Thanks for all your help. I re-installed the program and after waiting 17 minutes for EMC 11 CONTENT to install I got a "finish" screen. All seems to be properly installed.

I didn’t do anything but shake my pom-pons, you did all the work!

To be sure I would use the Clean Install (Vista) with this difference…

 

After going through the cleaning portion, I would run this HotFix before starting the install again.

 

That should do the trick. Don’t be surprised if the HotFix reports nothing.

 

If that doesn’t work, post back with as many details about where it fails as you can.

Jim: thanks for the advise. I walked thru the instructions & I didn't have any remains of Roxio to uninstall .also the Hot Fix instructions didn't show any dll file in system 32. I am going to try the install once more. I will keep you posted re: progress.
