Import and Record Problem

radix

Question

Any ideas on how to get Import and Record working? Earlier versions of Toast used to work no problem, but Toast 10 keeps crashing after importing about 25% of the video from mini-DV camcorder. Toast 9 doesn't seem to work either. It's driving me nuts! Have tried deleting p-list and converted items, have created partition folder, seemingly everything possible so far. Suggestions from Support Staff not helping so far.

Should I just try Toast 6, 7 or 8?

Using Mac OS 10.5.7 Quicktime Pro 7.6.2

feeling frustrated and ripped off.

I haven't tried it with Toast 10 so maybe I should do that to see if I get the same result. If you choose to use an earlier version of Toast then go with Toast 8 because the MPEG 2 encoder is better. My workaround would be to use QuickTime Pro to capture the video before adding it to Toast.
