Creator 2009 installation nightmare

redback

Question

Hello everyone,

After following the steps for a clean install, I am running into a totally different issue than most of the complaints are.

I slot the CD ans a window pops up asking for permission t install the "sonic" software.

Being a nice guy, I accept, then a window pops up stating "Please wait while setup loads, Ths could take several minutes"

I have been known to be impatient, but I wait for 30 minutes, and still nothing. I hear the PC looking for the CD, but my PC completely freezes.

I can't even close off this window using the task manager. The only thing that I can do is to ride the power button for 6-8 seconds to shutdown.

I am tryingto install Creator 2009 on a brand new fullt loaded Dell XPS studio 16 laptop.

Please help!!

Thanks in advance,

Peter

What OS are you running on the Dell ? The "permission" thing sounds like you need to change some settings so you don't get that pop up. Have youtried copying the C2009 installation to a HD and trying to install from there ?
