cmykrgb
I burn a lot of DVDs everyday. Now I have toast 8 and thinking of getting toast 10. I understand that it has a lot to do with computer itself. I have G5 MacPro and laptop, so I see huge difference. However can anyone tell me if Toast 10 actually burns faster than what I have now?? tsantee
I don't think it will make a difference for burn speed with a newer version of Toast. What does speed up the burn is the quality of the optical drive itself and its firmware along with the brand of media. Awhile ago MacWorld did a test of several external DVD drives and the LaCie drive won. I have a Firewire LaCie drive that is several years old and it is wonderful when compared to my iMac and MacBook Pro drives. I suggest getting one of those (they have some at discount from their clearance store) and stick with Verbatim discs.
