Big_Dave
Do a full system search including hidden folders for the following module: AFS.sys If you have this module it may be the problem.
gogo
I think this is a Roxio issue ,why am i still being asked for the Roxio cdr4 driver?
Jim_Hardin
This really is not a Roxio issue… Perhaps it should be moved to Instant Messaging?
Big_Dave
Do you have a recovery partition on your PC? Some OEMs will have that partition on your hard drive. On my HP, I can launch Recovery Manager after a nornal boot up, click on advanced options and then do a multitude of actions including: hardware driver re-installation Microsoft system restore System Recovery etc.. Some OEMs will also have the recovery option available when your boot such as F11 or a different Fx key to access the recovery partition. Also, try going back to a known good "system checkpoint" under a normal boot via Repair Windows using the restore process. Click choose different restore point and then click show restore points older than 5 days. Mine go back 2 months but they may vary depending on how much space is being set aside for this process. gogo
Restore point are gone > Thks
Big_Dave
Go into your calender of restore points and pick a restore point before all of the problems started. If that works then you'll have to reinstall updates and programs installed after that date. Sometimes a restore point process will work better if you boot up in safe mode. You might want to backup any critical data before you start this process just in case something goes really bad.

Big_Dave
Did you look in the driver folder in System64 in the Windows folder on the C drive? What happens when you right mouse click on the device and select Scan for Hardware Changes? You could try a repair process with the installation disk. sknis
Error is cdr4 driver not found by windows Yellow exclamation point is there beside dvd entry in device manager Drive is not shown in Computer entry with C drive Drive is noticed in bios Hope this answerrs all questions because that is all I have Thks 1) Did you try Dave fix? The first one -drive not recognized by Windows. If you did and it doesn't work, then the problem is with your hardware and not the Roxio program. 2) Is this an internal drive/burner? 3)What brand? 4)Did you check the connections? 5)Did the drive come with an installation disc? Have you tried that? 6) Are you using AVG free? 7) What operating system? XP or Vista? Eight questions; I hope we get 8 answers; none of them with cdr4 in them. Jim_Hardin
cannot find cdr4 drivers --- this is the error message .If I choose ask me later to install drivers then it puts a yellow marker on the dvd entry in device manager/. Pls read over my answers , all answers are there you need to know? You are not answering anything. All you do is keep repeating cdr4, cdr4… Dave asked you to do 3 things, it appears you did nothing. He then asked for more details and you brush it off. If you don’t answer, people will stop asking…
