Creator 2009

Question

Hi,

I'm still having trouble getting Roxio 2009 to work. When I installed it, I received a "setup error" notice regarding Microsoft.net Framework 3.5 setup. When I clicked close on it the setup continued. Now when I bring up Roxio from my desktop, nothing happens or I get a "No Permission To Launch" error message. What did I do wrong?

...Bob

Go to Control Panel programs and remove .net 3.5 and updates to it.

Do a clean install followed by SP4. Don't skip any steps!

Bob, you didn't do anything wrong. Microsoft is the culprit. Once .net 3.5 is removed, Roxio will reinstall it.

Hi Dave,

I've had it. Roxio is too much for me. I'm not going to re-do my computer just to make it run. I went to another program and it works great with no hassles. TMPGE seems to work fine. How do I get my money back from Roxio?

Contact them. If you didn't purchase it, directly from them. then good luck.

I did not have a problem installing it on my XP system, and although I wouln't touch Vista, with a 10' pole, I know that a lot of folks, who have Vista (puke), and post here, have not had the problems that you have had.

But, then again, you gave no information on what OS you are using, or what your computer specs are, but it sounds like you have a problem with how you have your computer set up.

Service Pack 4 wouldn't have fixed this. Hope you didn't return it... there is a simple fix for this and it doesn't require a clean install.

Try some of these steps (if you still have Creator):

1. Right click on the desktop icon and select 'Run as Administrator'. If that didn't work, then:

2. Do MSCONFIG and disable all startup programs. Once done, then open Creator 2009 by following step 1.
