Convert Video VOB to Ipod fails

akida

Question

New user (after a couple of days to get a complete installation!).

Have used Convert to Ipod once and it worked OK. However now it wont convert various VOB files. Starts the process, and completes within seconds with no successful output. Thought it may have been file length (1 hour +).

Original files copied from Video HDD burnt to DVD.

Any knowledge of this greatly appreciated.

No idea how you are doing this... Describe it step by step and try to use the name of the actual Program you are using - there are 30+ different ones in the Suite.

Sorry..

Using Video Copy and Convert feature. Then choosing "Video Compilation". I add a movie video (from a homemade DVD). Then choose output to File/Folder. Format output (dropdown) to Ipod. Saving to C: drive which has plenty of free space.

Choose SAVE AS, and starts to process but finishes 100% within a few seconds.

Have managed to get a couple of items to finish (under 60mins) but cannot ascertain why these worked and others fail (3 different DVD originals used). Video length may be issue (over 60 mins). But dont see why as it is not "copying" to an output with limited capacity.

I dont believe there would be a restriction on Ipod file output length.

Cheers

Nuts! I just tried it and I can’t get anywhere since ITunes is required for it to work and I don’t have it

What I did try was Drag and Drop Convert and it breezes through.

For not use SyncIt (D&D Convert) and maybe someone with ITunes will test out your +60 issue :D

Thanks for taking the time to help, Jim.

I will try your Drag and Drop shortly. Down here in Australia...time difference!
