i made a DVD with menus which will play perfectly on my computers but will not play on my Sony DVD player. What did I do incorrectly?

If you can play the DVD perfectly on your computer then you did nothing wrong and the software worked properly. If it does not play on your DVD player then there is a compatibility problem between the DVD media you are using and the player. What make of DVD are you using? What is the model # of the Sony player?

You listed Chapters in your subject line. What does that have to do with your problem?

Thanks for writing! I meant to say menus. The same type of DVD (DVD-R) will play on my Sony DVD player I have made other DVD's with East VHS to DVD and they will play correctly on the player. The one I created with the menus will not play at all.

Thanks again!

9 out of 10, it is the MEDIA. If it doesn’t say Verbatim it is a suspect…

Even if they worked before, I have had 2 spindles of No-Names that went bad just sitting around.

You are also not supplying any details??? It is pretty hard to guess what is going on between I Burned… and Don’t work

They don't charge by the letter here ;)

Try using SONY DVDs. I found that other DVDs have problems. I have 2 SONY DVD-RW machines and I always use SONY DVD-4 disks

Thanks for writing! I apologize for not providing the necessary info. I am using Fujifilm DVD-R and playing them on a Sony DVP-NS300. As I said before, the DVD's created without menus play properly on this DVD player but the one created with menus will NOT play properly on the same player though the same type of DVD is being used.

Thanks for your feedback!

Sony does not actually make any discs, they collect bids and pick… :D

To their credit, I think they do require standards to be maintained. But we never hear a complaint about Verbatim and they are a manufacture.
