No Signal - Status

taliant

Question

I just bought VHS to DVD, loaded the software and plugged my camcorder. It recognizes the USB device but I am getting no signal so I cannot even capture the video. Can you help.

I am trying to capture video directly to my harddrive. Because there is no signal I cannot press the capture now button.

What's the source of the video? Home movie / commercial movie? If commercial, you can't capture it.....

If there is no video recorded at the point you are capturing from, you may get that "no signal". Do you see video on your camcorder screen?

Have you installed the SP2 update for VHS2DVD as Dave suggested?

I'm using an old Hitachi Camcorder (Home Movie) WM-E510A and trying to download the video.

I do have the video recorder. I can see the video on the camcorder screen and have installed SP2.

Thanks

You have to tell us more than your short I have to guess at answers!

How are you connected to the camcorder from the USB capture device?

Is the Easy VHS to DVD software setup the way your connected?

Is the camcorder on battery or AC power?
