Camcorder video file conversion

Hi

 

Im new to Roxio,and was wondering if Roxio creator can take the video files from my JVC camcorder witch have a TOD extension and convert then in to WMV or HD,WMV etc etc.?

For now i take the files from my camcorder that have the TOD extension, transfer them on my pc , then i use TRIPARD video converter to convert the the files with the TOD extension to whatever format ex: WMV,HD WMV,DIVX....

Then i import the converted files in windows movie maker and do some creating.

Im having some problems with the Tripard converter so i got the Roxio creator, but can't figure out how to get those files from my JVC camcorder with the TOD extension in to ROXIO to convert then .

 

any ideas?

Creator 2009 supported formats.

 

Hopefully someone with a JVC camcorder can confirm....

Thanks for the replies, looks like ROXIO does not convert those TOD files.

My JVC camcorder puts out TOD files and theres nothing i can do to change that.

If i change the extension ,after the files are on my pc, the video plays ,but with no sound.

Looks like I will have to use a converter, then use ROXIO to creat.

Technically TOD files are the same as HDV. Try changing the extension to .mts and see if that works.

 

Steve - SDCopy works for standard definition JVC/Panasonic camcorder. Shouldn't be needed for the hidef TOD files unless JVC messed with those,too. LOL
