MAC .mov file for playback on a set-top DVD player

I created a DVD from a MAC .mov file for playback on a set-top DVD player. When I try and playback the DVD the video scrolls downward quickly on the TV. The audio is fine. The DVD plays fine on the MAC but not on the TV thru the set-top player. Can you suggests any settings I can try ? I am using a DVD-R disc.

If you are in US, it is likely that the DVD created is PAL. I suggest checking your options on that.
