ekschwab
I read some of the info posted here but I cannot even get the program to install. Any other suggestions? Is there a way to do this with WinXP SP2? I cannot get the program to load. Thanks

lynn98109
As far as I know, version 5 won't work with SP2. Altho some people have successfully managed to get ECDC 5 to run with WinXP SP2, officially it is unsupported - there were a lot of security "fixes" that interfere with ECDC 5. You would have to get EMC 8 completely out, and I'm not sure roxizap can do that (it was designed for V.4 & 5, and works with 6), or if it does, it may cause secondary problems. If the built-in WinXP burning (data and music to CD) isn't enough, you will need to find some other program you are comfortable with. I had V.6 on my computer briefly between ECDC 4 and ECDC 5. It is a different program (with strong emphasis on creating an audio library on the Hard Drive) rather than an "upgrade" of what went before. BTW - when you add to your comments, click on edit, don't start a new thread. This is a permanant, searchable, Forum - not a chat room.
