texan767
I had a copy of EZ CD Creator 5, that worked fine, & recently bought Easy CD & DVD, which now tells me I have no supported drives! My drive is a SONY DVD RW DW-D26A, which worked quite well with version 5. I have downloaded all the available updates, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions? Completely uninstall version 6 and reinstall without installing the "Drag to disc" part. That means that you need to control/tell it what is installed and not just letting it install everything automatically. It worked for me, so maybe it'll work for you. Hope this helps! Actually, I removed it & went back to version 5. I also saw that my drive, a SONY DW-D26A, isn't on the list of supported drives! How come it was supported in version 5? How come it was supported in version 5? V.6 has the ability to query the drive for newer drives, which ECDC 5 didn't have. To go from one Version to another, you need to get out all the bits&pieces, which is what Roxizap was developed for - the URL is in the FREQUENT ANSWERS post pinned to the top of the board which you apparently overlooked. You need to do an add/remove, then roxizap, and then you can reinstall or install a different Version. That said, I had V.6 on the computer briefly between ECDC 4 and ECDC 5 - seemed to me its purpose in life was to put the CD libraray on the Hard Drive, and with a 3.7GB HD, I wasn't tempted. Your drive was first supported by the 5.3.5.10 "V" driveupdate patch, which was issued after version 6 came on the market. The published list of supported drives isn't complete or accurate.
