Problem with Disc Copier

I have a project that I did using Adobe Premiere. As always, I burn the project to disk and use Roxio to burn it to DVD.

 

This is my first time using a Double Layer DVD (Verbatim).

 

The burn starts off fine but then quickly goes to 100% completed. When I click on CLOSE THIS WINDOW I get a pop up error box stating "UNSPECIFIED ERROR [0x4]. When I try to play the DVD, it obviously doesn't work.

 

Any ideas?

Ok, I created a disc image and tried to burn again. Now I am receiving another error message:

"END OF USER AREA ENCOUNTERED ON THIS TRACK - ILLEGAL REQUEST [05/63/00]"

 

Any ideas?

Update, I was able to burn this project fine using Nero.

 

I was able to burn another 4gb project with Roxio just fine. It would appear to be a double layer issue. Anyone else?

Make sure you have the latest firmware for you DVD Burner. EMC8 totally relies on the DRIVE to identify the media inserted into the drive.

When I used Disc Copier under version 8 Mome edition, I could burn disc images greater than 4.7 to SL 4.7 DVD's using compressions.

 

When I upgraded to Version 8 Deluxe, I could not.

 

I'm sorry but for the amount of $$$ to upgrade from V8 Home Edition to eluxe Edition, I should not have to update any drive firmware.

The only other suggestion woud be to check the website of the burner's manufacturer to see if they have a list of recommended dual layer media.
