Incompatible format - but I am using the one specified

Question

I am having problems with mydvd projects on EMC 8 saying they are complete but nothing is nurned to the disk. I went to use Roxio Creator Classic to move the project in their and burn it. When I do the programs says 1 DVD-R needed...that is what is in the drive? When I try to burn the disk it tells me incomaptible format. I have two different DVD drives and it does this on both?

Why can I not burn with Roxio, but with other programs?

Exactly what are you trying to do and how are you doing it? You cannot use Creator Classic to create/burn video project. For those you use Videowave and/or myDVD.

I was using it for a Video Project...MyDVD will not burn a disc. It goes through the process, but when the burn is complete the disk is still blank and no error occur.

Well then, we need to establish a couple things, a ) have you selected the right options to write to disc, and b ) does your burner work.

Let's start with "b )". If you open Creator Classic and add some data files and burn those to a DVD disc, does that work properly? If so, we've at least established that the drive functions.

Back to "a)". When you're in MyDVD, is there any chance that instead of selecting the DVD writer as the destination, you've instead chosen to output to a .ISO image file, or a Video folder instead?

Let us know.
