problem saving MP4 video PhotoShow

Question

I downloaded Photoshow 6 and tried to create a slideshow with around 230 images. When I tried to export for DVD I got to the size screen, picked 800x600 and then click create. I got nothing!

 

I then uninstalled the software and tried again, still nothing. I then did a save as and renamed my project. I then tried to export again and still nothing after picking the video size.

 

I then tried to upload the project online to photoshow.com. After two hours I got an error message and the file was not able to upload.

 

I started over and imported all my images to photoshow.com and recreated the project 100% online. The project plays without any problems. When I click the save as MP4 video, I get the following email: We're sorry, there was a problem making the video of your PhotoShow titled ....

 

Any suggestions??

Do you have only images in the PhotoShow and no video? Do you have any DRM protected music? Why did you pick that screen size?

I have photos only and I'm using the music provided by photoshow. So no uploading of music.

 

This past weekend they were having problems and it took 3 days to get the notification that the mp4 file was ready. Have you tried again? Why/how did you select the display settings. Where do you plan to play the mp4 file? Do yo have only images you took yourself?

I'm not sure what version of Photoshow I have but I downloaded it from the net last week, so I imagine it's the newest version. I've made 4 videos and had the mp4 emailed to me successfully. The mp4 usually comes within an hour. Today I made a video using 29 pictures and 3 hours later it hasn't been emailed to me. Is it normal to run into this....mp4s not coming for a long time? I'd just like a hint on the timeline that others are seeing...1 hour, 3 days? What's normal?

When I have had that happen,  I just try requesting again and usually it is successful.

Well you are not alone....

I've had the premium account over a year and worked fine. My renewal was due the end of Dec. I renewed and paid my 39.99 and since then everything has gone to the dogs.

I've talked with support...

first they said no record of the account, then they said they found the account but that it was not renewed...

I happily surprised them with the Invoice number and the reference number for my purchase and after several more minutes they said... they found the account but there was a problem and it would be corrected with in a day or two.

Well that was on 12/28. I just got off the phone now.. 1/5/2010 and they said to be patient and the problem would be corrected in time. They said they would create a support ticket... gee another one... the other ones all show closed but alas with out being corrected

There are way too many software programs out there to have to deal with this stuff.

 

I'm going to give it till Thursday and if it's not fixed by then I'm going to cancel my credit card payment.

Good luck and you may want to consider looking for another software program.
