treehousemann
Just a general question. Thinking about upgrading from vista 32 bit to Windows 64 bit. Anybody notice improved performance in Windows 7 64 bit with Videowave editing? Thanks Tim
treehousemann
Thanks for the response guys.I do appreciate it. I pretty much can't find a valid reason to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista at all for my needs. What originally started the upgrade thought process was that I do continue to have a bothersome 1 sec or less freeze in the timeline preview of videowave when working with MPEG 2 HDV files. It happens right at the end of a clip as it transitions into the next clip. It doesn't occur on the output, but when editing it's a pain in the butt for figuring out timing with shots. If you've got any suggestions on how to fix I'd appreciate the input. Thanks! Tim
Big_Dave
Treeehousemann, Update your video card driver and Directx. If you haven't applied sp1 to Creator 2010 then do so.
Beerman
I doubt it would be much faster if at all. For it to really make a difference, C2010 would have to be written to take advantage of a 64 bit OS. But, if you run a 64 bit OS, it does do a better job of using more RAM so that is useful with some applications.

treehousemann
Big Dave Thanks for the suggestion. I try to stay on top of the updates. So I did double check. Driver, directx (11) and sp1 all updated. This freeze only happens with HD file formats. All SD formats work fine. AVI seeming to be the most friendly. Thanks for the input.
