Pefformance better with 64 bit vs 32 bit?

Thanks for the response guys.I do appreciate it. I pretty much can't find a valid reason to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista at all for my needs. What originally started the upgrade thought process was that I do continue to have a bothersome 1 sec or less freeze in the timeline preview of videowave when working with MPEG 2 HDV files. It happens right at the end of a clip as it transitions into the next clip. It doesn't occur on the output, but when editing it's a pain in the butt for figuring out timing with shots.

 

If you've got any suggestions on how to fix I'd appreciate the input.

I doubt it would be much faster if at all. For it to really make a difference, C2010 would have to be written to take advantage of a 64 bit OS. But, if you run a 64 bit OS, it does do a better job of using more RAM so that is useful with some applications.
