SCSI device not installed

locob

Question

I am using Roxio 2010 in Windows 7. My LG SATA DVD burner burns discs okay from the Roxio Creator Home screen. However, when I try to use an individual application to burn the same discs (Creator Classic, Music Disc Creator) the burn fails with the error "SCSI device not installed". This message is also displayed under the selected burner in the burning window. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you.

Were your updates to W7 and Vista 64 clean or did you install them OVER the existing OS?

I did a search for that error on the Microsoft site and found some references to other programs causing that problem. The two that were mentioned were Alcohol 120 and Daemon Tools.

Do you have any software on your computer that would be equal or similar to those? Those would be applications that would create virtual drives or that would be a different CD burning application.

You may want to look at the other possibilities here. This is for Vista but I'm sure they would hold true for W7. This is the w7 search.
