problems with converting movie maker file to dvd

bob0101

Question

I compiled 50 photos and downloaded music onto Windows Movie Maker. It only plays on my pc. Was told by a tech support individual at a big box store that the file needs to be converted and he suggested Roxio to do the conversion. In the file conversion area I ran the WMM and it converted, I think, the file in about 8 minutes. From there I dragged and dropped the converted file onto Roxio burn area and a file was burned in short order. Again, it did not play. Called LG the DVD player manufacturer and was told that the file needs to "finalized." At that point I thought I'd turn the issue over to the folks more familiar with the capabilities of Roxio than I...can someone assist me in getting this DVD to play on other devices?

You just made a data disc, As you found out they play only one computers.

Open the application "Make DVD" add the file and then burn it from there. If you have only one video file, select no menu; if you have several, you can chose the menu style you want.

A few minutes with the manual or just reading this will help.
