"Signal Protected" Error Issue

richstex

Question

Recently Installed Creator 9 then added easy VHS to DVD program. Besides not being able to activate easy DVD through the shortcut, I also find that when I am recording old VHS movies, the process shuts down & a red "Signal Protected" message appears. If I stop & start at another point this seems to set off the program, as if I'm not allowed to edit-capture my source footage. I've managed to collect bits & pieces of videos but not been able to just sit down & do a whole evening's worth of transfers. Please help or recommend another (better) product for me to accomplish my transfers. Thanks for your help.

Lets clear up what software you have

You post in Creator 2010 forum but state you recently installed Creator 9. There is no such program - there is Roxio Creator 2009 (over 1 year old and no longer supported) and there is Easy Media Creator 9 which is over 3 years old and 3 versions back. You then installed VHS to DVD. VHS2DVD is incompatible with Creator 2009 and cannot exists on the same computer.

So you can see we are not the only ones confused
