Captured Sony 8mm video, previews fine, no audio on DVD

DanLins

Question

Title tells it all. Preview audio and video is fine, but no audio comes across on DVD.

System: Dell Optiplex 260, 1 gb video ram

Audio codecs: imaadp32.acm, msadp32.acm, msg711.acm, msgsm32.acm, tssoft32.acm. Windows Media Audio Codec, Sipro Lab Telecom Audio Codec, Indeo audio software, Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec & Microsoft PCM converter

Any ideas on a fix?

thx.... dl

Actually the subject title tells us nothing

It does not tell if you are capturing analog or digital, what program you are using to capture, what is your capture device, what program did you use to burn, plus other missing info.

hmmm... ok, let me try this again. The camera is a Sony 8mm ccd TRV22 ntsc analog, captured via Creator 2009 Special Edition (Roxio Media Capture), burned using MyDVD Express and/or Roxio MyDVD, (same result, either program).

Not sure what else might help in pointing me in the right direction. As mentioned, the preview (in AVI format) plays back with audio just fine.

Thanks anyway....
