I started this thread and followed everything to the tee. All I can get when it loads is Audio CDs and MP3 CDs icons. The program is a not a EASY VHS to DVD program. I would not rec. this to anyone. The tech support is not a tech support at all, they want you to come to a forum and try to solve the problem yourself. I would like to get my money($50) back but I know that will not happen.:angry:

What is the "everything" you refer to?

In your original post you stated you 'uninstalled the program 5 times and reloaded"… That is not the same as 1 Clean Install or following all the prep notes that cd listed.

I have loaded this program on 4 different PC's, XP, Vista & Win7 so I know it loads and works.

How about listing your PC specs like you see most of us have in our signatures. And then detailing the specifics of your installs.

Everything to the Tee as CD said...Gateway, Intel Pentium 4 supporting Hyper-Threading Technology, 3GHz, 2 Gb of ram, not real sure of brand of DVD, it has Double layer 16x Multi-Format DVD+/-RW on it. Why is it always the computer at fault and not the software? It seems that there are a lot of people having trouble with the software, must be a lot of junk computers out there............

The software works, millions in use throughout the world!

Some have trouble installing it. It turns out to be user errors and or equipment, but mostly users not following the instructions.

Now I will be at the head of the line to say, it shouldn’t this hard!!!

Fact is, you did not receive a disc with only part of the applications on it so something is interfering with it!

Well Mr. Hardin that is good to know that they can produce millions of these disks 1 at a time (Not mass produced like every other software company) and check each and every one out to be sure there are no defects in any of the disks. That they don't have any with a bad batch of dye or anything wrong with them. That is very good quality control that is unheard of in these times. I also would like you to know that I am very able to read a set of instructions and follow them exactly like they say.

The discs are pressed, not burned like we burn DVDs. ;)

As Jim said, something is interfering with your install. You need to find out what it is.

Well I am left with some doubts…

You claim everything to a tee and you can read and follow instructions

But you will not simply say, I printed the Clean Install and followed every instruction… You also omitted your PC specs that I asked for…

And I never said that each disc was hand crafted, you made that up on your own.

By deliberately omitting the simple obvious statement and substituting other verbiage to dance all around, I start to wonder. :glare:

Now do you want to troubleshoot this or play sparing? I seperated out the other posts so we could keep it focused on you.

Check this for me. In Program Files, Roxio Easy VHS to DVD Folder, what do you show for Properties?

Here is one of mine: post-39730-1259876992.jpg

And here is the folder expanded:

post-39730-1259877006.jpg

How do these compare to your install?

Have you ever tried the Clean Install by copying your disc to a folder on your HDD and running it from there?

Mr. Hardin,

Could you please tell me how to completly uninstall this program from my computer so I can start from the begining..The uninstall from the control panel does not get it all off my computer. Even after doing it from there I keep getting a screen popping up when I try to enter any program on my computer that says

:Please wait while windoows configures Roxio Easy VHS to DVD: I would very much like to completly remove everything

Thanks

It would be # 12 or # 13 in my signature, depending on the operating system your using...

Print it out and do exactly what it says...

Mr. Hardin,

Did the clean install and everything works fine now. I had a program called MyDVD Studio Deluxe on my computer by Sonic. Do you think this may have caused some of the install problems? Keep this in mind when someone else has problems.

Thanks,

Thank cd, he beat me to it

No the older Sonic program would not be a problem… We are dealing with Computers! That explains everything
