No Driver installed for Easy Roxio easy VHS to DVD

Question

I am running Windows XP sp3, I think I have tried just about all ways to install the driver for Easy Roxio easy VHS to DVD with out any luck.

I plug-in the Roxio capture usb device inserted the software into the drive and ran the setup after the setup is over the computer re-boots and when windows come up I get install window to install the usb 2861 Device and it tells me that it can not find the software to install the device. I have updated the software and I still get the same answer. What is happening here?

Get yourself some good DVD RW discs, one or 2 will do. (Verbatim is best, avoid Memorex)

Then burn a disc and see what the burned disc sounds link in a Player…

RW discs are erasable/reusable. Great for testing/learning but not for permanent storage.

Verbatim is what I am using

No I did not see that.

But I found the main reason, my system had a virus and took out some of my windows files.

I will try this once I get my system up and running again.

Do you think having sp 3 will cause any problems or should I run the program before I upgrade to windows sp 3 once I get my system up and running?

Thank you

First here is my system

Windows XP pro

Dell inspiron E1505

2.00 GB of Ram

Easy VHS to DVD

All updates are installed

When capturing from VHS I am having sound problems.

The sound will slow down and speed up to normal in some spots on the captured video.

I have went back and played the vhs several times and the soud is fine, but when I try to cature it, I have this problem.

I have tryed several VCR and VHS tapes and they have the same problem as above when I try to capture the video
