I am using EMC 10 with a Dell Studio 1535 notebook PC with Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 and have not been able to successfully playback any of my MyDVD projects that are burned to DVD-R. The specific disks I am using are Memorex DVD-R. EMC 10 recognizes the DVD drive and disk and indicates a successful burn HAS been performed when I do burn a project. The details of my DVD drive are as follows:
TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-T633A
Windows has determined the driver software for the device is up-to-date.
When I attempt to playback the DVD-R in both the same PC and a different PC each PC recognizes the disk as empty, with zero bytes stored on it. This is the only confirmation I have that indicates my burned project was NOT successfully burned to DVD.
When I create the DVD using the Windows DVD Maker software (and the DVD-R disk) on the PC with the EMC 10 software, again the software indicates a successful burn has been performed but the disk is unable to be read. This is NOT the case with the second PC however, as I am able to both successfully burn and playback the DVD.
My deduction leads me to believe that the problem is with the DVD drive on the PC where the EMC 10 software is installed, however I want to put this to the experts in the event others have experienced the same problem when using the EMC 10 software.
