Black slides during burn

Hale

Question

Using Creator 2010, When I send a Videowave file to MY DVD to burn, The preview shows the project to run just fine with all slides and music included. Sometimes however as I burn the project one or two slides go black and do not appear in the DVD. The same saved dsmn file will present random results... with random slides not showing...All of the pictures are jpeg and reasonably sized... The black slides show up in the burn window and are random.... If I get through the first 7 or 8 slides the rest burn perfectly...

Doesnt seem to make a difference whether I save to ISO file or Just go ahead and burn to start with.

Any suggestions.... Ive tried all of the recommended solutions in customer service recommendations.

None of the Outputs from Videowave will of course play directly on your DVD player , you have to first use myDVD and burn the mpg file to the DVD. What I wanted you to try is to create the mpg file on your hard drive and play it through a software player such as WMP.

If I burn a program on videowave to a mpg file it comes out fine and will play on wimdows media player or anyone of those types of players...

Short video files of 1.0MB seem to burn OK to ISO files...and then can be burned to DVD...

Is there a reason a DVD burned on my DVD cannot be copied as an ISO and then burned onto a second disc..

I have one I have been trying to copy that is about 1.6GB in size. It gets about 700MB thru and then dumps the burn as if I did not have enough storage on the hard drive....and I have between 177GB and 180GB free.

Creator 2010 appears to be a very unstable program and almost anything upsets it.

Any more suggestions ?

The most recent DVD's I am using are Sony DVD-R 4.7GB, 1-16X...I usually burn at the slowest speed I can, and at HQ highest Quality...

I have on occasion used Memorex DVD's but find them not as reliable whether DVD+/- R or RW.

Do you have a nVidia video card in your system? There have been several posts with this problem and they all seem to be related to a particular nVidia card.

What are your system specs, especially re your ATI video card?

Are you using any transition, effects? Are you strictly using Videowave and myDVD?

How much free space on your hard drive? Defragged lately?

Have you tried switching the render mode (Tools/Options)? to software or hardware from what it is now?

What happens if you Output from Videowave to a DVD mpg, best quality file?

I would work with a small project of less then 20 photos and try without transitions or use different transitions. Work with RW DVDs or burn to iso files and load it onto the Image Loader.

I really have only used the hardware method since the computer tells me hardware is the correct one...However I will try software and see if that helps.

In Videowave I have yet to find any combination that will play on any of my DVD players....

I tried small test program with about 10 slides and complete with Audio, page turns and captions... no problem there with either DVD Burn or with ISO Save and then burn on the Image Loader...

Just not happy with able to make only small programs....

Is there anything peculiar about My DVD that I might be missing ? Roxio help programs leave a lot to be desired.
