Open it and READ the name of the program...

It would be so nice if Roxio had left the 'button' names the same as the program names... They stopped doing in Creator 2009 and that is when the confusion started!

Did as you said.

3 mp3 files about 10 minutes total

it burned ok and played without a problem

the differences between this event and my problem event are

used DVD+R the first time this time used DVD-RW both are Sony

files first time were dmse files (tracks were added) this time 3 mp3

first time 258 minutes of audio this time about 12 minutes of audio

Since this worked I tried burning the original audio program on a DVD-RW - it worked

Then I tried burning the original audio program on a DVD+R - it worked This time at 2.4x speed instead of 8x

This is what I think happened

I had contacted Roxio Support as well as posting this problem in the forum

They told me to update PX engine

I did it but the next burn attempt failed

Then several hours later I followed your instructions and had success.

I think there was a delay of the PX engine being updated in Creator 2010 pro

Thank you for you help. I hope the problem is no solved.

After burning the DVD was ejected and I received the following error message

unspecified error 0x80004005

Since we do not have any details, read here

might give you a little ensight of the art of CD burning. Do's and don'ts, myth and facts etc...

(link removed-can't link to outside programs that might circumvent copy protection)

Tried to burn on two DVD burners

Matshita BD-MLT UJ-225S firmware was up to date

Sony DRX-710UL firmware was up to date

The source was the file(s) created in the Create Music DVD disks program of Roxio Creator 2010 Pro

The speed was the speed set automatically - do not recall what it was

DVDs are Sony DVD+R 4.7GB

I have burned Data and music CDs with these burners without a problem.

I have burned DVDs using Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0 without any problem.

Have Vista Home Premium with all updates installed.

The create music dvd disks program provides a feature of creating an iso file. I tried to do that and received the same error message and no iso file created.

I did notice that during the process all I saw during the burning operation was encoding messages nothing about burning.

The process went this way:

captured audio from tapes and created wav files

edited wav files in Sound Editor and created dmse files

loaded dmse files into roxio music DVD creator and tried to burn the result with the reported failures
