Can't open any of the task for Roxio Creator

Pj52

Question

I just purchased Roxio Creator 2010. Had issues getting it installed but finally succeeded. Now when I click on the task I want, like "create project" the cursor starts but then just goes away and task will not open. I tried tech support and was told to go to the start menu using msconfig and uncheck everything in my startup. I did but still no success so rechecked all of my items. Any ideas? Thanks

Pj: Bring me up to speed here???

Poking around I don't see anything called "create project" in the Home app? Where do you see this?

In one post you said you have installed SP1 and SP2. Since there is no such thing as SP2 for 2010 at the moment, what are you talking about??? Is that SP2 for Vista?

In the Home app, click on Help – About and look at the Version number. Does it contain SP1 in it?

If you go through the Start button, do any of the applications run if you select them from there?

Lastly – from Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs – Roxio, do the Repair option.

Then Reboot and give it a try, both from the Home app as well as the Start button.

I uninstalled Roxio and reinstalled, no luck. Then at your suggestion, tried starting the task from the start menu. Still no luck. The cursor starts spinning like it is going to open but then disappears.

Also checked the help section and yes there is SP1

List your system specs, similar to how I have mine listed, in my signature.

Did you go through the clean install process, when you uninstalled the software? If you didn't, you aren't going to solve your problem.
