Capture with motion detection

David Mays

Question

Many, many versions ago I used Videowave to capture video from my security camera. I could also do custom video frame rates. I could set the video to capture 1 fps. Now that I have advanced to 2010 Pro I have such a need again. However, I cannot figure out where to go and set capture rate.

I captured a lot of video and thought I could compress it with the video editor but cannot figure out how to skip frames.

I must be missing something. Any ideas or help would be great.

I would reload the old software except that I gave it all away.

Thanks

Actually, EMC 7 came out in January 2004. EMC 7.5 came out in late 2004.

Right you are! One click up on scroll and I had a note 3/04

Thanks for your help. Guess I will start looking for another product to complete my task.

I do not recall ever being able to set the frame rate of capture…

Sure you are even talking about Roxio??? Give us a hint on the version – 6, 7, 8, 8, 10, 2009 or 2010?

I started using it in about 1997 and stopped around 2002. I think it was just called VideoWave back then. It originally came on my ATI all in wonder card software disk. I upgraded several times to maybe VideoWave 3 before purchasing the bundle.

I am remembering correctly?

Thanks

No never seen anything in any of the early versions of Roxio like that. I just checked V6 and V7.5, nothing!

VideoWave became part of Roxio with V7, late 2004.

I suspect this was something that was part of your Video Card…

In any case there is nothing like that now and I know of no way to get it.

FYI we are not Roxio unless clearly identified. We are just fellow users.
