Slideshow creator help

I have Roxio Creator Basic V9. I have used it many times with no problem. Today, when I try to "Add a photo" to the slideshow in either the slideshow assistant or "create slideshow" the program automatically closes. I am able to add audio with no problem. I defragged my computer and cleaned out my temp files to see if that was the issue, but I am having the same problem. Any Ideas out there???

I'm not familiar with Roxio Creator Basic V9, (Assume it was installed on yoru computer when you bought it) but instead of using the program "Slide Show Assistant" use the program "Videowave" (That's assumiong the Basic program you have has that program.) Enter all your photos and videos, music (audio files), transitions etc. in that program. It has way more options to use than Slide Show Assistant.

This version was preloaded on the PC when I bought it. It does not have Videowave. I think I might upgrade to a newer version.

Usually upgrading a program does not fix the original problem; you may have the same issue in the new version. Have you tried a reinstall of the program? You should have the disc from your computer manufacturer.

 

If this is a recent issue, you may want to try a Windows Restore to see if something has changed. New software, program and OS updates may all have an impact. Restore to a time when the program worked and then start reinstalling the updates and new programs until the program no longer works. Uninstall that program or update.

 

EMC 9 is a pretty old program. Go to your computer manufacturer's web site to see if there is an updated version there.
