S-Video Connection vs. Red/White/Yellow Connection

Mimi Rhonda

Question

Help! Iam new to Creator 2010. Trying to convert old VHS to DVD. Have read through many of the forums looking for answers. I know that using an S-video connection provides better quality than the red/white/yellow connection. I am using a VHS player connected to my PC with Windows Vista.

I can capture and burn VHS to DVD with the red/white/yellow connectors, but when I connect the S-Video connector and remove the yellow (video) connector, I get a blue screen in the capture video monitor; I can hear the audio, but no picture. What am I doing wrong??

Did you change the Input settings from Composite to S-Video.
