Processor Celeron 1.7GHZ

Video card #1 ATI/Mobility 9200

Video card #2 (On mother board) Intel 82845g/GL

Since I first wrote this I have checked DirectX , Found a error , corrected it . But it did not solve this problem.

That computer is good enough to make data CDs or DVDs. It is not even close to being good enough to do video work, with this software. Sorry.

OK, But why was it doing the same thing with Roxio 7.5 ? If I can get 7.5 to work (MyDVD) I would be happy.

What about a Mobile AMD Athlon XP processor ? (1.6GHZ)

By now you have probably wrecked your Registry pretty well…

Do the Clean Install instruction set down to the point of starting the install… XP

Then use the Roxio install check list – KB Page

And put EMC 7 on.

Keep in mind, not everything on those instructions will apply to your PC. Any more on EMC 7 please post in the EMC 7 forum under Legacy Products.

Well , It shut down on 7.5 before I installed this program.

I might be able to upgrade the CPU to a P4 2.x GHZ processor , I believe it is a 478 socket . It is a HP Pavilion 532W .

Here is a link to the Mother board specs

Other wise I will try on my laptop that as the AMD processor in it.

Have you considered that the problem may be hardware related? You may have some memory going bad or your power supply. If it is under warranty, get t fixed by the manufacturer.

Google for a memory test, burn it to a disc, make sure your Bios is set to boot from the CD/DVD first and then let the memory test run for several hours or overnight (better).

The problem may not be triggered by whatever other programs you are running since they may not require the CPU or the memory to be stressed to the same degree.

Valid question , Problem is My old PIII , when I tryed to run Roxio 7.5 , Mydvd , It did the same thing. I was hoping this newer used unit I got for nothing, would be good enough. And everything in this machine ecept the HD & DVD /cd drive are new .

Also another program that came with my TV card /box , that program works (I can burn dvd's with it) , Just it does not have all the features that roxio has.

Fixed it (for now).

I disable automatic restart on XP to show the error code. Turn’s out it was my Sound max driver, uninstalled it and reinstalled. It works (doesn’t crash), I had a limited time because I was home for Lunch, I will check it out more this evening. But it did not crash when I went into preview, like before.

Thank you everyone for your help.

Edit , I should include that this was with 7.5 , I Uninstalled the 2010 . If 7.5 works OK, I will attempt 2010 . I know the processor is on the slow side, But Tech supoort said it should work .
