If not what do you have to convert the Analog to Digital? The "SW" the OP stated might have been just an abreviation for "Software" (Maybe ?? Frank... If he doesn’t return, there isn’t much point in composing an essay… I see no ‘quotes’, must be an XP artifact
MaestroZ
If the original person isn't going to reply, then I will. I am a new user and not familiar with video importing/editing. But I want to save all my old VHS tapes and was told Roxio 2010 with Video Capture USB would do the trick. Like the original post stated, the manual doesn't cover this function. I have my Sony DVD/VCR Model SLV-D300P turned on and the tape is in. I seem to be hooked up using the composite video/audio cables to the USB device. I have gotten to the Roxio Media import screen and the imput says composite video but the status says no signal. What do I do next? The "Capture Now" button is greyed out. I tried hitting play on the VCR and no change to the status. What other info do you need from me? Thanks.

It bothers me when I see words you used "I seem to be hooked up using the composite video/audio cables to the USB device". To prove that the VCR is outputting a good signal, take the same cables that you have used to connect the USB device and plug them into your TV. Then we know the cables and VCR are good. Let us know. Thank you for your reply. When removing the cables from the VCR to check them with the tv, I realized they were plugged into the "Input" connection on the VCR...not "Output." I've switched them around and now I get the signal from the VCR. I'll start playing around with the capture settings and see how it goes. Thanks. Have you looked in the Help files that came with your software?
