Why does toast 10 re-encode?

When I create H.264 files from FCP in compressor and then bring these files into Toast, it insists on re-encoding them even though under custom settings I have never re-encode selected. Worse yet, I then get the dreaded OSX -10xxx error message. Any workarounds? Thanks.

My guess is you have encoded at too high a bit rate. I can't recall the post but someone recently said his fix to several Blu-ray issues with Toast was to lower the bit rate. I don't recall the level he found that worked but I think it was something around 16 mbps.
