Access denied error ?

Using XP...when trying to complete the disable the startup applications using MSCONFIG, I go the the startup tab and hit apply button. Get the error that access denied. May need to log on using Admin. account. However I am the only user and it says that I am the Admin. Any ideas please. Jack

nevertheless: MSCONFIG requires administrator usercode!

 

Since we do not know how your PC is setup and configured, you will need to investigate.

Try Administrator as username during login; however, you will need the password...

Ask the person who had setup your PC for further details.
