Not Compatible With Windows 7

jweikel1

Question

I purchased the Creator 2009 Pro 6 months ago. Updated my Dell to Win 7 only to find out this version is not compatible and Roxio will not supply an update. I can however purchase Creator 2010 upgrade for $79.99. What a deal! As I informed Roxio I will post where ever I can to let users know of this decieptful practice by this company. All software companies knew of Microsofts pending release of the new operating system and Roxio should have warned customers that the 2009 version would not be compatible. So much for customer service!

Guess it is time to go back to Nero......

You update yourself out of a working pre W-7 software.

Anytime you upgrade your operating system older programs are never guaranteed to work..

Good point, however the Creator 2009 was purchased less than 3 months before the "Official" release of Win 7. Roxio could have simply warned customers that their "New" software would be obsolete in 3 months! Unless you are saying Creator 2009 is OLD software.......

Windows 7 Support and Compatibility with Roxio products,

You might still find C2009 software available somewhere today, by second and third party retail sellers.

I'm sure Roxio is not the only software that came out in September of 2008 that won't work with a Operating System that came

out October 22, 2009.

Again, your the one that updated your Operating System.

I downloaded Creator 2009 directly from Roxio June 2009, cost $99. I have no doubt that other software will not work with Win 7 but for any company to sell a product and not stand behind it when they know it will not work with new versions of Windows is a real shame.

Seems my credit card company thinks this is an issue too!

To top it off, Nero 9 Reloaded only cost me $49.99 and it works great with Win 7!
