Drive Not Recognized

Elbowman

Question

I have an HP 1712n PC with 3GB RAM, over 300GB of free hard disk, and Windows 7. I am using Creator 2009. It no longer recognizes my DVD/CD burner. I've updated to Roxio's Service Pack 4. I've installed the PX Engine update.

Still it does not recognize my drive exists.

Windows does recognize my drive. Other application on my PC recognize my drive.

Help, please!?

... could mean that the CD/DVD drive could be in use by some other application?

Did you install these updates or just one of them?

PxEngine 4

PxEngine 3

Does Windows see your drive or is there a yellow exclamanation next to it in Device Manager?

Windows see's my drive. So do my other applications that use the drive, like RealPlayer, and other CD and DVD burning apps. It's just Creator 2009.

Creator 2009 is not certified to run on Win7

One of them has to go…

This seems like the likely solution, upgrade, again.

Does 2010 support Win7?

Can you just delete win 7?

what is it's function?

KristenEverett,

W-7 is the operating system your PC is running on isn't it?

You don't delete a operating system because the PC won't run, you reformat your hard drive and reinstall the operating system some times tho...

cd
