I'm using Creator 2010 to capture old VHS tapes, some with copy protection I think. The current video I'm working on is a Disney animation. Anyway, when using the Roxio Video Capture USB device to capture this tape, the result is very unsteady and the color is off. Thinking this was caused by copy protection, I tried sending the VHS output to my Sony digital camcorder and passing to my computer via firewire.
The video in the preview area of the video capture screen is of very good quality, but the capture button is ghosted and I cannot activate the actual video capture. Is this because of copy protection still, or is there another issue in play? I was hoping the video camera would 'strip' copy protection out.
