Time length on button video loops

Humunculus

Question

I'm sure I saw a tutorial or help file somewhere on how to add these buttons, but I've forgotten where it is.

If anyone can point me in that direction I would appreciated it.

Most important to me though is controlling the length of the video loop that goes on the buttons.

I have a 52 second background movie that goes behind them. I want the video loops for the buttons to be the same length.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Cray? That used to be a fast computer but I think Big Blue is now the fastest. Please take the time to post your full computer specs.

Is this part of what you want to do?

Sknis,

Thank You for that. That is Information I can use, but its not the information I was requesting.

There is a way to add buttons for each selection in the menu, in the form of a video loop of that selection.

It is how to do that, and how to control the length of the video loop in the buttons, that I am requesting the information for.

Thank You for taking the time to reply though, and thanks for the link you provided.

As for computer speed, I didn't want to bore people with reading alot of details. Didn't want to sound like I was bragging.

I figured an I-7 920 chip with 4 gigs of RAM and a gtx275 video card should be fast enough for anything I have to do,

and that "fast" as in "fast enough that hardware isn't an issue," was the only hardware information important.

I'm not sure you can do what you want to do. I don't remember any posts on that subject but I am getting older and my memory is not quite as good as it once was.

You will not bore people with comuter specs and those specs often give hints on issues. Please take the time to put your specs in your signature via the My Controls tab at thew top of this screen. Look to the left to edit signature. Put in the type of information you provided (any things like OS). Look at other people signature.

You have a nVidia chip graphics card. Have you seen any issues of display when working with slide shows when you use both portrate and landscape images?

I have placed the specs in the signature as you requested.

I have not had occasion to work with the slide show features of Roxio, so I cannot help you on that.

I certainly don't have any slideshow problems viewing powerpoint presentations.

Also I followed your link back to the directory it came from, and looked at a few of the other tutorials. Very interesting.

So I finally Figured out that the "animation buttons" I was looking for are actually video overlays in the menus.

And the length of the overlays will be the same as the length of the background video.

For a step by step of what I did, check out this thread, which also highlights my new problem as a result of this.
