Hi I once copyed all my 8mm onto a dvd from a camera shop. When I edited the movie and exported it the computer saved it as a window media file. I bought roxio creator 2010 to help me burn it back onto a dvd to play in my dvd player, but is having no excess in doing so...I am very stumped and would love it if someone could help me out in fixing my problem I am having..thank you

To create a DVD that can be played on a DVD player you should be using myDVD (Create DVDs from the C2010 main menu page)

You have not supplied any usefull information on what you have tried so its impossible to offer much help at this point.

Start over. You are saying that a camera shop put your 8mm movies onto a DVD? If so, what type of files are they? What are the file extensions?

Next, you are saying that you copied the files, to your hard drive, and did some editing in Windows Movie Maker (not Windows Media Player)? If that is what you did, then you should have saved the file as an .avi file, not a low quality Windows Movie Maker file.

You can still save it, as an .avi file, it your Windows Movie Maker production is on your computer. Open Windows Movie Maker, then open your production, and save it to your computer as an .avi file.

Click on the Creator 2010 desktop icon, then click on Create DVDs. That will open MyDVD. Then click on Add New Movie, and browse for the .avi file you made, bring it in, make any changes to the menu background you want, and burn your movie to a DVD, image file, or Folder Set. Try burning directly to a DVD, first.

Thank you for your input.

Yes the camera shop put my 8mm movies onto a dvd. But when I watched the dvd I noticed it wasn't in date order I wanted it in. For me to edit the movie the way I wanted it I used dvd scrapbook software to put the dvd movie the way I wanted it. When I saved and exported the edited portation it copyed onto my computer as a window media player file. Now I'm trying to copy the movie onto the dvd to play in my dvd player to watch on tv. I am trying to use my dvd to do so but not having success in copying it onto a dvd. Can you help me?

First, with that software that you used, can you save it as an .avi or .mpeg file? If you can, all may not be lost, if you still have your production that you can open in that software.
