Having difficulty burning DVD's w/ Toast 8 (mac) - Please help

Question

Hi - Newbie here (Dennyvt)

What files work best with Toast 8? I put in an MP4 video, Toast 8 encoded it for about 2 hours, but then wouldn't let me burn it to the disc. I'm sorry, I closed the error message before realizing I needed that to post here. I use iSkysoft Video Converter to convert the video, then drag it to Toast 8. Any ideas? I'm using a brand new iMac w/Snow Leopard. Thanks

Denny

Toast 8 isn't officially supported for Snow Leopard so that may be the issue. However, I suggest choosing Save as Disc Image from the File menu instead of clicking the burn button. When that is finished burn the resulting .toast file to disc using the Image File setting in the Copy window. There are times after long encoding periods that Toast fails to wake the optical drive for the start of disc burning. Using the image file method avoids this situation. Also, be certain you are using the latest update to Toast 8.
