Easy CD & DVD Burning (Red Box) Install Problems

I am trying to install the product, and every time it gets to about 90% installed, it pops up an error code: "Roxio 10 Required to Install" and starts uninstalling. I have read through the book, the box, and online and it doesn't say anywhere that it requires this other software to install. I started reading through this forum and find that other people are having this issue, but all of the solutions I can find are for Vista, and I have Windows 7. I have tried all of the vista solutions, and none of them have worked yet.

 

Does anyone know how to fix this error using Windows 7.

 

I have tried to contact ROXIO but have gotten nothing back.

 

Has anyone else had this problem, and do they know how to fix it? I feel like I am at a total loss.

When you did the Clean Install , did you follow the instructions step by step, and did not skip/add any steps.
