Ripping audio CD - how to eliminate the numbering in song titles

Lori F.

Question

When I rip an audio CD, the file name for each song is preceded bya number 01 SongName, 02 Song Name, etc. I don't want it to do this, I just want the song name and no numbering. I can't find an option to turn this off! HELP! I have to go manually edit each filename now to delete the number in front of each song name.

I don't think you have any options in the simple Sonic Ripper under 'Rip' in the home menu, but if you go to 'Rip-Advanced' you'll get the Roxio Multiple Audio Ripper, and that one has OPTIONS :)

Click on the Settings button down on the left, and click Filename/Folder Structure in the box which opens. You use the dropdown box to change from the option which has <TrackNo> to one which doesn't, and better suits what you want.

Brendon
