Extract Video_TS And putting Video_TS on hard drive

avshockey1

Question

I am a new user to Toast, and I want to put multiple video_ts onto my hard drive. I don't know how to do that, nor do I know how to extrace the video so I can put them on my DL DVD. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated! I have a big project that I'm trying to get done for my mother's anniversary next month. Thanks to anyone who can help!

If these DVDs are not copy protected you can simply drag the VIDEO_TS folder from the disc to your hard drive. If they are copy protected you would need to use a ripping application such as Mactheripper. Disclaimer: ripping commercial DVDs in the U.S. is unlawful even with DVD's you own. It also is commonplace like driving faster than the speed limit. If you are going to do this, be cautious of who you tell.

To extract the videos from a VIDEO_TS folder in Toast, place the VIDEO_TS folder on your desktop or in the Movies folder. Open Toast and choose DVD-video as the format in the Video window. Click the Media Button to enter the Media Browser. Choose DVD with the top button in the browser. In a moment your DVD should appear in the window below. Go down a level with the bottom button. Drag the titles you want from the DVD to the Video window. Toast extracts the video and writes it in the Roxio Converted Items folder. Now do the same with other videos.

Warning: the default preference in Toast is to automatically empty the converted items folder each time you quit Toast. To prevent this go to Toast Preferences and change that setting to something else.
