"No Signal" error stops capture...Can I over-ride?

drumfam2

Question

When I am capturing from my Super8 analog, occasionally the feed is interrupted by a snowy screen and the Roxio capture software turns off and shows an error message "No Signal". Since the snowy screen lasts only 5-10 second while the tape moves to the next portion of the video tape, I would like to have the video capture continue through the "no signal" section. Can I over-ride?

Thanks!

Different error message and may not be a fix but have you updated Creator 2009 to SP4?

You may also want to try these suggestions.

There is no other way to over ride if Windows Movie Maker won't do it.

This particular problem is my single biggest complaint about Creator. I have been putting up with it, but if that many people are complaining about it then I think you might want to fix it. Obviously if you am doing digital capture it is not a problem, but for those of us trying to convert a library of tape to DVD being able to just "capture" what is on the "tape" would be a major improvement. I mean, is it really that hard ?

In case you don't know it, you are not speaking to Roxio folks here. We are users like you, so YOU may want to fix it. ;)

It looks like some folks will have the problem, and nothing can be done to fix the problem with their system.

Since we are just users of the software like you, none of us will be able to fix it.

BTW, the same problem can occur with digital tape if you have gaps between recordings.

Also it does not occur for everybody. There have been several users who have reported that they were able to capture "through" the gaps.
