What program are you talking about? Roxio Creator 2009 or Easy Media Creator 9? They are 2 versions (and years apart).

Also what service did you turn on? There are several that might need to be turned on. Without more details, your post does not really help very much.

the jest of the fix was the fact that there was a serv. not running that seemingly would not have anything to do with "run time error" ergo... if you have a prob. with any part of a larger prog. not responding check that all "roxio" services are turned on. of course finding the button is the trick., "msconfig" serv. tab is where i found my prob. . i'm sure in the service file of your comp. there are hundreds of entrys, and will not ref. the name "roxio" so a list of supporting services would be a big help.

I am having the same problem...with Roxio Easy Media Creator 9. (Creating a Slideshow). Get Runtime error C++. Contacted Roxio & they advised me to run msconfig & check certain boxes referring to Roxio. They were already checked. Rebooted, and the problem still exists!

Anyone have any idea what to do?

I have used this program many times before, but got a virus 2 months ago and had someone work on my computer. This could be the results of something here?

Since viruses work by compromising something - the virus I got a couple years ago converted .exe files to execute the virus rather than what they had originally executed - that sounds very likely as a cause.

Have you tried a clean uninstall and reinstall? Directions here - note it starts with Ceator 2009 and Creator 2010 before EMC 9 and EMC 10.
